Chef de Partie

We’re on the hunt for a passionate, skilled Chef de Partie ready to create exceptional food and grow with our team at Down the Rabbit Hole Wines in McLaren Vale.
Our kitchen celebrates wholesome, organic ingredients, offering both fine and casual dining. With glowing reviews and a rapidly growing reputation, this is your chance to be part of something special in its early years.

Gardener/Groundskeeper
We are looking for someone that has experience with horticulture and a solid understanding of flower gardens, vegetable gardens, native gardens, land management and property maintenance. It is important that you have the skillset to carry out handyman work / general maintenance and general improvements around the property. The role requires someone that is fit, healthy, energetic, strong and happy. You must believe in organic and biodynamic farming and have the understanding of managing a chemical free property. You will perform the duties described in the below position description as required:
Design & Planning
- Design and implement gardens and landscaping.
- Improve grounds with new garden spaces.
- Plan seasonally for continuous blooms and produce.
- Develop systems to improve land and garden efficiency.
- Manage landscaping projects, including contractors.
Garden & Grounds Maintenance
- Maintain organic gardens and grounds (no chemicals).
- Grow and care for all vegetation: flowers, vegetables, produce, hedges, trees, and screening.
- Ensure all areas are tidy, manicured, and photoshoot-ready.
- Maintain lawns, including mowing, edging, watering, and furniture moving.
- Oversee pruning and irrigation systems.
- Keep tool shed organised.
Waste & Compost Management
- Implement and manage compost systems.
- Manage property waste and keep bin areas tidy.
- Pick up rubbish and ensure general cleanliness.
Equipment & Property Care
- Operate machinery (e.g. tractor, forklift).
- Clean paths, walls, and exterior areas (e.g. bus).
- Handle general property repairs and maintenance.
Animals & Deliveries
- Care for chickens, alpacas, and animal areas.
- Coordinate deliveries and manage trades.
Cellar Door Wine Tasting Attendant
The Role
This is a casual position for 2-4 days a week (must be available for Saturday and Sunday shifts), with the opportunity to increase hours during our vibrant summer season. You will be responsible for delivering wine tasting experiences with a focus on customer connection and the expectation is that you are confident in sales. You'll be part of the action, bringing energy, calm, and care to each shift.
About you
You love wine and you’re someone who brings both heart and professionalism to everything you do. You’ve worked in wine tasting sales before, and you have a solid understanding of wine.
